Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville: Collective Soul and 3 Doors Down

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Collective Soul was the direct support and 3 Doors Down were the headliners on the Monster Energy Metropolitan Stage at Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville, on April 30. Lacey Sturm, Filter, Candlebox and Pop Evil were the openers.
Ed Roland is the vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist, Dean Roland and Jesse Triplett are the guitarists, Will Turpin is the bassist and Johnny Rabb is the drummer of Collective Soul.
As Collective Soul walked on stage, they were welcomed with applause. Rabb was accompanied by the riffs of the guitar, as they began their showcase with “Heavy”. Towards the end of the song, Triplett performed a brief guitar solo.
Prior to starting “December (Spit Me Out)”, Roland joined the rest of Collective Soul with an instrument and played his acoustic guitar. After the second chorus ended, he played and sang alone. His bandmates joined accompanied him, shortly after. They closed out their concert with “The World I Know” and “Shine”.
“Gel”, “Where The River Flows”, “Hurricane”, “Contagious” and “AYTA (Are You The Answer)” were also part of Collective Soul’s set.
Other notable performances took place at the Monster Energy Lefty Stage on, April 30. They were: Monster Truck, Red Sun Rising, Asking Alexandria, Hellyeah, Sixx: A.M. and Disturbed.

3 Doors Down ended the performances on the Monster Energy Metropolitan Stage by opening with “Still Alive” and “It’s Not My Time”. Prior to “Loser”, Arnold thanked the crowd multiple times and for God to bless them. As Biltonen played his bass—he jumped in place a couple of times.
Audience members yelled out to 3 Doors Down and requested for them to perform “Kryptonite”, before the start of “Here Without You”. They granted their request, after the song had concluded. “When I’m Gone” brought an end to their concert. Arnold dedicated the song to those serving in the military and to their families.
“In The Dark”, “Away From The Sun”, “Duck and Run”, “The Road I’m On”, “The Broken” and “Let Me Go” were also part of 3 Doors Down set.
