Failure, HUM and Torche to play three Fla. venues, starting with Freebird Live

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – Failure, HUM and Torche will begin their three day tour of Fla. at Freebird Live, on Oct. 9. After beginning the brief stint there, the second tour date will take place on Oct. 10 at Revolution in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and the last stop will take place at House of Blues Orlando on Oct. 11. Troy Van Leeuwen will be teaming up with Failure, for every date of the U.S. tour.

Ken Andrews is the vocalist and guitarist, Greg Edwards is the bassist and keyboardist and Kellii Scott is the drummer of Failure. Guitarist, Troy Van Leeuwen, will assist them on tour.

“The Hear Is A Monster” was Failure’s recent album. Through crowdfunding, they produced the album. The perks of assisting them with the album included keepsakes from the recording sessions. They included lyrics written on note paper, effects pedals, vocal microphones and more.

Matt Talbott is the vocalist and guitarist, Tim Lash is the guitarist, Jeff Dimpsey is the bassist and Bryan St. Pere is the drummer of HUM.

HUM released a series of EPs and LPs, throughout the 1990s including:  “Fillet Show” (1991), “Hello Kitty EP” (1992), “Sundress EP” (1992), “I’d Like Your Hair Long EP” (1995)”, “The Pod EP” (1995, 1996), “Puppets EP” (1998) and more. “Downward is Heavenward” (1998) capped off the decade.

Steve Brooks is the guitarist and vocalist, Rick Smith is the drummer, Jonathan Nuñez is the bassist and Andrew Elstner is the guitarist and backup vocalist of Torche.

Torche’s will be promoting their recent album, “Restarter”.  It was recorded and produced by Nuñez, mixed by Kurt Ballou, mastered by Alan Douches, the artwork was designed by Santos and the layout was designed by Orion Landau. A variety of vinyl versions are currently available.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sareth Ney is the entertainment journalist for A Quarter and Dream Pictures. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Center for New Media from Colorado State University-Pueblo.  He is a former apprentice to master of horror, Clive Barker. He is known as the journalist/superhero, Wu-Man Chu, after meeting members of Wu-Tang Clan. He is an award-winning short filmmaker; his goal is to write 150 articles in select time zones, inducts artists into his hall of fame, founder and co-host of No Cover Podcast and is the festival director at Sareth-Fest Music, Comedy and Short Film Festival.
