Deadline for Florida's Funniest Comedian to end on Sept. 7 at midnight

Fla. - Registration for Florida’s Funniest Comedian will come to a close at midnight, on Sept. 7. For consideration, comedians are encouraged to submit a four to 10 minute video clip of their performance and it must be continuous. The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) must be submitted, along with the application. Submission fee is $25, it is non-refundable, all submissions will be considered and some contestants will be selected. Payments accepted are all major credit cards and PayPal. It is sponsored by Harte Comedy, Inc.
On Oct. 5, McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre in Sarasota will host Florida's Funniest Comedian. As well as, the
Tampa Improv in Tampa. Gregory’s Comedy Club in Cocoa Beach and Ft. Lauderdale Improv at the Hard
Rock will be the venues, on Oct. 19. Sunrise Theatre Fort Pierce will open their doors, on Oct. 22. Redbar
Brickell in Miami welcomes comedians, on Oct .23. Orlando Improv Comedy Club in Orlando will start,
on Oct. 26. Comedy Club of Jacksonville will be the host, on Oct. 28. Palm Beach Improv at CityPlace in
West Palm Beach is the establishment, on Oct. 27. Comics are encouraged to perform at the city closest to them.
Semifinals for north Fla. of Florida’s Funniest Comedian will take place at the Tampa Improv, on Nov. 11.South Fla.’s will hold theirs at the Palm Beach Improv, on Nov.19. The finals are set to take place at the Palm Beach Improv, on Dec. 2.
Children ages five through 17 are also encouraged to participate in the Florida’s Funniest Competition. Age groups will be divided and the deadline for submission is Sept. 30 at midnight. The winner will receive a trophy, perform at the finals and receive a coaching session.
First prize of Florida’s Funniest Comedian receives the bragging rights to being Fla.’s Funniest Comedian and a 10 week tour of the comedy clubs from those involved in the competition. Second place receives a one week performance at the club of their choice. Third place receives a ribbon. Rising Star will be awarded to three comedians who are not chosen for the competition and are based off the videos submitted. They will also receive training from the Improv by a private master of ceremonies (MC) and one paid MC spot.
