Run The Jewels' "Run The World Tour" to include The Beacham

ORLANDO, Fla. – Run The Jewels’ national tour will lead them to The Beachem, on Jan. 23. Their expedition known as the “Run The World Tour” will also include The Gaslamp Killer, Spark Master Tape and Cuz. The trek begins at Electric Factory in Philadelphia, on Jan. 11. It will conclude at Terminal 5 in New York, on Feb. 25. Tickets will be available for purchase, on Nov. 4.
 
El-P and Killer Mike are the duo known as Run The Jewels. El-P hails from New York and Killer Mike is from Atlanta.
In 2012, El-P produced Killer Mike’s album known as “R.A.P. Music” and reached critical acclaim. In the same year—Killer Mike would be featured on El-P’s song, “Tougher Colder Killer”, from the record called “Cancer 4 Cure”. In 2013, Run The Jewels was formed and their project was distributed by Fool Gold’s Records. In Feb. 2014, the sequel was released.

Born on Nov. 7, 1982, The Gaslamp Killer roots are from San Diego and Los Angeles. He currently resides in Los Angeles. His genre of music can be classified as instrumental and psychedelic. He is affiliated with Low End Theory, as the co-founder and resident. Every Wednesday, he can be found spinning records at The Airliner in Los Angeles.

LA Weekly described The Gaslamp Killer as “the most popular great DJ in L.A.”. “Breakthrough” was his debut and was made available in 2012.

Spark Master Tape’s genre is a mixture of rap, hip-hop and trill. The deep ocean is described as the hometown of the artist. Paper Platoon is the roster they are part of. Western Sahara is their current location. Eazy E and B. Pumper are listed as influences. “Silhouette of a Sunken Ship” is their latest offering.

Three years ago, Spark Master Tape produced “The #SWOUP Serengeti Mixtape”. It featured 10 songs and had two guest appearances. “Galaxy Note 7” was their latest song.

On social media sites such as Soundcloud and Twitter, Cuz can be found as the moniker “Cuz Lightyear”.

​Cuz was heard on Run The Jewel’s song, “Bust No Moves”. The song was released on record store day, in 2015. It was first made available on vinyl and could be found on all digital download platforms. Mass Appeal Records made the song available. “Rich Black Trash” was his first offering and featured 11 songs. It was made available for download, on Oct. 9, 2015.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sareth Ney is the journalist for A Quarter and Dream Pictures. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Center for New Media from Colorado State University-Pueblo.  He is a former apprentice to master of horror, Clive Barker. He is a Wu-Tang Clan inspired superhero, Wu-Man Chu.
