Punk Rock Pizza and Bar, as well as World's Most Famous Brewery hosts the last Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival Daytona took place for the last time at Punk Rock Pizza and Bar and World’s Most Famous Brewery, from Oct. 2 through Oct. 5. The first three nights were held at Punk Rock Pizza and Bar. The last day alternated music acts between Punk Rock Pizza and Bar with World’s Most Famous Brewery. It was sponsored by Kyle Longfritz Photography and thirst murdered by Liquid Death. All performers had the option to have bottomless Liquid Death, as long as they showed the bartender at Punk Rock Pizza and Bar Sareth-Fest badges attached to their lanyards.

Kicking off the festival was a podcast crossover featuring Comedy Podcast and Creepy Partnas, on Oct. 2. Cee Dillard, Sean Madden, Sean Patrick Murphy and Tim Blalock talked for about 10 minutes. Then, Madden and Dillard had to perform stand-up comedy elsewhere. Murphy and Blalock’s Creepy Partnas took over the rest of the time. Charley McMullen and Sareth Ney were the guests. James Monaco assisted with the camera. Stand-up comedy began at 8:30 p.m. McMullen hosted. The lineup consisted of Selena Ubias, Patrick Luby, Jasmine Jewel, Blalock, Helen of Joy, Ney, Dillard and headlined by Madden.

Beginning the second night was Loose Leaf – A Storytelling Show featuring everyone telling a scary story. Ney hosted and Yung Fu Egg Oh was the DJ. Alet Wiest, Wendy Gillis, McMullen, Julie Sandoval, Joe Lovece, Kida Bread and Dawn Starr headlined. All were comedians except for Bread. At 8:30 p.m., comedy was hosted by Corey Burton. Alex Barboza, Tucker Lenora, Clarice Kentwood, Christine Moore, Sean Steele and Bridgette Whittemore was the headliner. Barboza had non-stop laughs from those in attendance.

Yen Hearts and Wu-Man Chu hosted the third night. High & Dry Comedy Show and Al-Phở-Bet Soup sets were held back-to-back. The lineup was: Matt Hurless, Alysse Stewart, Vanessa Scaduto, Roo Nafasat, McMullen and Murphy headlined. On the 8:30 p.m. stand-up show, Captain Jon White hosted. Comics were: Joe Censabella, Johnathan “PreacherMuzik” Gordon, Gigi, Uncle Tony, Ross McCoy, Ken Howat and the headliner was Deb Rose. Stewart assisted with timekeeping. A spectator bought drinks for the comedians on the late show, after driving for eight hours. He heckled McCoy and must have not read the two signs to not heckle the comedians. McCoy handled the best way he knew how. They exited and sat back down after McCoy’s set ended.

At World’s Most Famous Brewery and Punk Rock and Bar, music alternated on the final day. Ney hosted at World’s Most Famous Brewery and McMullen was the host at Punk Rock Pizza & Bar. Boojwah Fusion, Liquid Mirrors, Rusted Jade, Hot Robot, Tiger Steffi and the Higher Power, Umbrella, Henry Cron and Jack T. Ripper. Mike & Vin was the music headliner at World’s Most Famous Brewery and 12 Gauge Confessional was the music headliner at Punk Rock Pizza & Bar. Tiger Steffi and the Higher Power performed facing Main Street.

For the final act, Sareth-Fest ended with The Toast of Sareth Ney. McMullen was the toastmaster. The floor opened to wish Ney well on his future endeavors (pinball and Q*Bert). Owner of Punk Rock Pizza and Bar, Grady McCarty, announced he was adding a new menu item called “Sareth Sticks”. They were breadsticks drizzled with Caesar dressing and it was all Ney ordered. Mike & Vin, as well as their girlfriends spoke. Henry Cron and Taylor Valentine shared memories. The sole sponsor, Kyle Longfritz, mentioned kind words. Murphy and Sean Robbins shared good times. Ney dedicated his final words to The Last Laugh and Tír na nÓg Irish Pub.
