ESTES PARK, Colo. - Sareth Ney and Charley McMullen embarked on their Redrum and Dumber tour, while Ney was in Colo. While on the run, they made a trip out to The Stanley Hotel and took The Shining Tour. They had set their alarm bright and early, in order for them to make the first go around.
After arriving before the 10 a.m. tour, they were welcomed by Susan. They only accepted cards and Ney covered Charley’s ticket. Since there were no restroom breaks in the walk through, they made sure they went prior. While in the hallway of the restrooms, they looked at all of the framed pictures. They ranged from the famous folks, royalty, “Dumb and Dumber”, “The Shining”, a proclamation letter and Eli Roth.
Susan advised for Ney and McMullen to wait in the waiting room. Savanna was going to show them and a group around. She encouraged the guests to take photos as their media form. Video of her was prohibited. A video of Jay Leno talking about an automotive at The Stanley was shown on the screen.

Up the steps, Savanna had told us some of the wood was not actually wood. It was plaster of Paris. She encouraged folks to knock on the different surfaces to tell the difference. Once we made our way downstairs again, she encouraged everyone to ask questions and she answered each one the best way she knew how. The answers were informational and entertaining.
Then, the group made our way inside of the MacGregor Room. It was grand.
Outside and down the steps the group went. They saw a statue of wildlife. The neck had been damaged by antlers of another. The ground reminded Ney and McMullen of the carpet of Stanley Kubrick’s version of “The Shining”. They sat down in the middle and pretended they were Danny.
McMullen pushed buttons to turn the lights on and Ney gave the dog a coin inside the Caretaker's Cottage. The group went upstairs. There was a painting of Stephen King and learned the ax only weighed a pound. Ney and McMullen went into the bathtub, after Ney was asked to open the door and an opportunity arose.
Afterwards--Ney and McMullen signed autographs for the staff (Susan, Arianna, Savanna) and had lunch. John, the bartender, let Ney name his mocktail “Redrum and Dumber”. Then, they spent money at the gift shop.
