LOS ANGELES – Clive Barker is currently accepting pre-orders for the 25th anniversary deluxe edition and the standard edition of “The Thief of Always”. Both books will ship out by the end of Feb.
For the 25th anniversary deluxe edition of the “The Thief of Always”, it will be presented in an illustrated deluxe tray case. The items included with the book are: unused artwork, alternate artwork and book cover images from around the work. First, early, and screenplay handwritten manuscripts consisting of: three for chapter one, extras, alternate beginning, four A5 art prints, first and last scenes will also be part of the package. Standard edition of the 25th anniversary of “The Thief of Always” will consist of a set of images which were not used and different artwork. It will also include cover images of the editions from around the world. There will be 200 limited versions, will be numbered and autographed by Barker. For pricing details, click here.
“The Thief of Always” details the adventures of Harvey Swick, when he occupies Mr. Hood’s Holiday House. The house is 1,000 years old and welcomes children, from throughout the century of existence. For those who choose to enter—wonders, luxuries and notions come to realization. However, there is a price with consequences. When the darkness of the structure enters the light and the creatures appear, Swick must defend himself. Unlike anyone before Swick, Mr. Hood and the Holiday House have yet to face off against anyone like Swick.
Barker’s “The Thief of Always” was one of many children’s books he has written. The other books of the genre he has penned were: “The Adventures of Maximillian Bacchus and His Travelling Circus”, “Abarat”, “Abarat: Days of Magic, Nights of War” and “Abarat: Absolute Midnight”. As an author, many of his books were New York Times Best Sellers.

Sareth Ney is the journalist for A Quarter and Dream Pictures. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Center for New Media from Colorado State University-Pueblo. He is a former apprentice to master of horror, Clive Barker. He is a Wu-Tang Clan inspired superhero, Wu-Man Chu.
