2015 Narrow Magazine Music Awards takes place at Planet! Sarbez!

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - 2015 Narrow Magazine Music Awards took place at Planet! Sarbez!, on Feb. 28. It was a red carpet event. Music performances and awards were presented. It was hosted by Rosalie Cocci. Bob Patterson, Mental Patients, Katherine Archer, Kim Brown, Shea Birney, Lucio Rubino, The Skinny, Michael Jordan, Sam Pacetti, Kensley Stewart, Amy Hendrickson and Robbie Dammit & Speakeasy performed.
Patterson sang “Keeper of the Light” and “Ain’t You Been Blue” to begin 2015 Narrow Magazine Music Awards. After his set, the award for Best Block Quote by a Subject featured in Narrow Magazine was presented to him. His block quote was, “The thing that keeps me going is the possibility that more is still to come.”
Two members of Mental Patients, Tanktop Tyler and Mousik3, represented the group. They shared, “King” and “Dancing Lovely”. Archer followed and recited “New Jersey Turnpike” and “Mona Lisa”.
Dave Kosciolek, editor in chief of Narrow Magazine, spoke of the process in which the nominees and awards were decided for 2015 Narrow Magazine Awards. Then, the Best Narrow Style on a Cover award was presented to Mental Patients.
Brown provided two songs, “Crystal Ball” and “Feel Again”. Later, Mayor Nancy Shaver was presented with an award. It was a special recognition for her contribution to the music scene. Birney sang “Fragments of Soul” and “To All of This”. Rubino made a special guest appearance with “Truth Or Dare”.
The Best Video by an Artist featured in Narrow Magazine was awarded to Michael Jordan for “Sow”. Then, The Skinny showcased “I Love You, Baby” and “Heartbreaker”. Jordan’s showcase was next and it included “Sow” and “Batholith”.
Pacetti was next and covered Michael Hedge’s “Layover” and Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Prelude In E From 4th Lute Suite”. Best Song by Artist was presented to Brown’s “Crystal Ball”. David Elliott received an award for co-writing and producing it.
Stewart’s two song set included “Heart Full of Rage” and “Last Smoke”. Hendrickson was up next with “The Hydra” and “Green Cadillac”. Robbie Dammit & Speakeasy completed the trifecta with “Sky’s A Blue” and “Devil’s Back Alley”. Pepper Pyle assisted with percussion.
Afterwards, the Best Album or EP by an Artist was presented to Local Honey Soundtrack. Kosciolek received a gold record with autographs from the local music scene. Grant Paxton and Robbie Dammit ended the 2015 Narrow Magazine Awards with “Schilling Hill” and “A Life Without Regrets”.
