The Birth of Wu-Man Chu (Intro)

On Halloween weekend of 2011, Ney introduced the world to Wu-Man Chu. It was a joint effort between Clive Barker’s special effects artists and Ney. He met the drummer of TOOL, Danny Carey, while in costume. On Halloween, he wore it to the Gibson Amphitheatre for the Danzig Legacy concert. He met some members of Danzig, The Misfits, Samhain, Puddle of Mudd, and Type-O Negative backstage. He attended the concert with Andrew Bryniarski (Leatherface) of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (2003).

DC Comics’ Superman and Marvel’s Spiderman are both journalists. Clark Kent writes for the Daily Planet, Peter Parker writes for the Daily Bugle, and Ney writes for aqdpi.com. Instead of Clark, Ney is Dark. Instead of Parker, he is Darker. He continues to save many lives. He is a designated driver, whenever he is called upon.

At first, Ney didn’t know how music or Clive Barker would play a role in his life. He took the chance to write Barker and on his last day of his summer internship, he had a three-hour conversation with RZA (Wu-Tang Clan). Wu-Tang Clan is his favorite musical group.

If other outlets choose not to help artists on their journey, Ney will. Through aqdpi.com, he documents about his experiences. He reads the newspapers and emails, travels throughout the U.S., and looks for artists to provide press. His mission is to go to select time zones in the country and write about artists, to the best of his abilities.

Flesh–N-Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony retweeted Ney’s article, on Twitter. Cappadonna of Wu-Tang Clan has read the article about Wu-Tang Clan’s performance at Club Nokia. Tech N9ne gave him a knuckle bump from the stage at the Hostile Takeover Tour. He received national honors for his article for The Game. Former member of The Pharcyde, Slimkid3, autographed his journal from the stage. His article for Rock The Bells Launch Party was tweeted over 90 times. Lead singer of Filter, Richard Patrick, also autographed his journal from the stage. He also fist bumped Alice in Chains’ drummer, Sean Kinney, from the red carpet.

Ney writes with a pen and notepad, at every show. He believes the delete key is nothing more than a distraction, which is why he doesn’t type on a smartphone or tablet. As stated earlier, some of the musicians have taken notice. The fans (at the shows) often ask him what he is doing, as well.
