Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Can I perform cover songs or perform other comedian’s jokes?
As much as I like cover, tribute bands and comedians that tell other comic’s jokes--those with original material will only be considered.
Is there a submission fee?
There is no submission fee because I don't believe in pay-to-play.
During the rock shows, can I participate in the crowd participating portions?
If you plan to mosh, crowd surf, skank, hold lighters up, raise devil horns, participate in the wall of death—please do so at your own risk. All involved with Sareth-Fest are not responsible for concussions, black eyes, fat lips, broken ribs, twisted ankles or anything of that nature.
While at the hip-hop show—may I wave my hands in the air, like I just don’t care?
You can. In fact, you can throw your hands in the air like a true player. You can lean back and all that other good stuff too.
Who is in charge of booking, marketing, advertising and public relations?
Sareth Ney does everything. E-mail him at [email protected].
Will I be compensated for my time and talent?
100% yes. No talent will perform for free. Put an offer on the table and make me an offer I can't refuse.
As an artist on the Sareth-Fest bill, may I sell my merchandise?
You sure can, as long it is yours and yours alone. Artists keep 100% of their merchandise sales, unless they signed a 360 deal with a third party.
What were the past experiences of Sareth-Fest like?

How do you choose the acts?
It is by invite only. I start with the local acts that performed the year prior, first. I plan the set times around their schedule and what works best for them. If there is room for a touring act, I will add them to the bill.
As for comedians, I start with the local level and tag the local comics. On a national level, I book those that have given me the opportunity to shine with them on their showcase. I believe in karma and it is my way of showing it comes back 10 fold.\
