2015 Narrow Magazine Music Awards to be held at Planet! Sarbez!

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – 2015 Narrow Magazine Music Awards will be taking place at Planet! Sarbez!, on Feb. 28. The red carpet event will take place at 7 p.m. and the event will follow at 8 p.m. It is free to the public. Awards will be presented in the following categories: Best Album, Best Blockquote, Best Song, Best Video and Best Cover. The awards ceremony was designed to celebrate and recognize the best of St. Augustine’s music scene of 2015. It will be presented by Narrow Magazine.
Katherine Archer, Shea Birney, Kimberly Brown, Robbie Dammit & Speakeasy, Amy Hendrickson, Michael Jordan, Sam Pacetti, Bob Patterson, Mental Patients, Lucio Rubino, The Skinny, Kensley Stewart and The WillowWacks are scheduled to perform. Mayor Nancy Shaver is scheduled to make an appearance.
Archer, Birney, Brown, Dammit of Robbie Dammit & Speakeasy and Stewart were contestants of the White Lion’s Restaurant & Pub’s singer/songwriter competition. It was hosted by Hendrickson and Archer walked away as the winner.
Jordan was the subject of a student film for the St. Augustine Film Festival. It was screened as part of the showcase by film students of Flagler College. Pacetti is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is part of the Waterbug roster. Patterson is a singer and songwriter and storyteller based out of St. Augustine, Fla. Rubino is a singer, songwriter and producer. He owns Fish Tank Recordings.
Mental Patients are collective from various parts of the U.S. including: Calif., Fla. and Md. Their goal is use their music and spread their message to the consciousness of the world. The Skinny consists of Taylor and Pamela Fausset. They are independent singer and songwriters. Their genre can be best described as gypsy and Americana. The WillowWacks are the made up by the husband and wife duo of Micah and Lauren Gilliam.
