"A Simple, Little Robbery" to have world premiere at The Dab Lounge

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – “A Simple, Little Robbery” will be showcased for the first time at The Dab Lounge, on Aug. 26. The venue’s address is 1532 North Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colo. 80909. It will be screened at 7:30 p.m.
“A Simple, Little Robbery” production took about three years to complete and was produced by Shoot This Productions. The running time for the film was 40 minutes. It was written, filmed,directed and edited by Luke McMurtee. McMurtee. Frankie Aragon, John Brown and Key Dieck portrayed the armed robbers in the film. Charley McMullen depicted the priest. The cast featured local talent in the southern Colo. region too.
Synopsis of “A Simple, Little Robbery” tells the story of a priest (McMullen) laundering money from a church. Pete (Aragon), Larry (Brown) and Teddy (Dieck) plan a heist to rob him of his earnings. Larry is an ex-convict with an addiction to consume alcohol and he attempts to persuade his partners-in-crime to take part. However, the others have a difficult time to follow suit.
“The film shows off our local comedians’ diversity and talent with very convincing dramatic performances by John and the entire cast,” McMurtee cited.” These guys are also very good actors.”
After the world premiere of “A Simple, Little Robbery”, McMurtee will submit the film to the festival circuit. He hopes the film wins in all of the categories it is nominated for. After the festival run, he plans to make it available online. The trailer for the film can be viewed on YouTube and Vimeo.

Brown is a stand-up comedian and relocated to Aurora, Colo., to continue his stand-up comedy career. He will compete in the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, in Aug. McMullen is a stand-up comedian. He contributes to Geek Juice Media. Together with Brown, they are part of The Thompson Boys comedy troupe
