MIAMI - Adele will be performing two concerts at American Airlines Arena, one on Oct. 25 and one on Oct. 26. Her 2016 North American tour begins on July 5 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. and conclude on Nov. 15 at Palacio de los Deportes, Mexico City, Mexico. She will be promoting her album, “25”.
“25” was released on Nov. 20 and distributed through XL Recordings/Columbia Records. It features 11 tracks total including: “Hello”, “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)”, “I Miss You”, “When We Were Young”, “Remedy”, “Water Under The Bridge”, “River Lea”, “Love in the Dark”, “Million Years Ago”, “All I Ask” and “Sweetest Devotion”. During the first week it was released, it sold 3.38 million copies. It shattered N*Sync’s 15 year old record of 2.42 albums sold.
When Adele spoke of her latest offering, she mentioned it was more of a make-up LP because her last was a break-up one. With the record—she stated she was making amends with herself, the times she let pass by and teaching herself to let go of the past. She admitted she missed everything about those days, whether circumstances were good or bad. The reasoning was because those times will never come back.
The age of 25 was a “turning point” for Adele. It was a transitioning period of growing up, becoming an adult and thinking about the future. During the growth period—she grew up without fully realizing it, apologized for taking too long because she let life happen.
In an interview conducted with Rolling Stone in early Nov., Adele spoke of her upcoming tour. She stated, "When I've sat down and thought, 'What can I do to bring something new to the table?' It was just like, 'Tour.' Because I haven't done it properly. If my throat goes, then I'll never be able to do a tour again. I'll be able to get my throat fixed again and do studio work, but do I want to do something and then fail at it and be too scared to ever try it again?"
