JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—Adrenaline Mob pulled out all the stops at Beach Boulevard Concert Hall, on March 14. They were the opening act—along with Dear Abbey, Manna Zen and Stone Bone. Full Devil Jacket was the direct support and Drowning Pool was the headliner.
Russell Allen is the vocalist, Mike Orlando is the guitarist, AJ Pero is the drummer and Erik Leonhardt is the bassist of Adrenaline Mob.
Orlando, Pero and Leonhardt began to play the introduction of “Mob Is Back”. While they did so, the spectators awaited the arrival of Allen. As he took center stage, he carried a bottle of Coldcock Whiskey in his right hand. He went onto set it on Pero’s platform and he provided the lyrics to the song. When it was time for the choruses, Orlando assisted with backup vocals.
Prior to “Get You Through The Night”, Allen greeted the onlookers. Orlando and Leonhardt alternated sides, as they continued to strum their instruments. After Orlando returned to where he was at the beginning of the song—he played his guitar in a vertical position, as he rested the base of it on his right thigh.
Allen mentioned Adrenaline Mob had a new album out and how it had everything from cover songs to unreleased tracks. He mentioned they had them available at the merchandise booth, before they covered Charles Daniels Band’s “The Devil Went Down To Georgia”. He encouraged everyone attendance to meet up with them at the merchandise booth for photographs and autographs. As they performed the song, spectators sang along with Allen.
For the start of “Hit The Wall”, Allen requested the viewers to participate with him by clapping their hands above their heads. They granted his request and followed suit. During the song, he introduced Orlando to them. He followed with a guitar solo and continued to play his guitar overhand, while making a variety of facial expressions. While he had his moment in the spotlight—everyone’s instruments were quieter, as Allen and Leonhardt gathered around Pero’s drum set.
“Undaunted” brought an end to Adrenaline’s Mob recital. After the song came to an end, Pero attempted to throw his drum sticks for the audience to have as a souvenir. After one deflected off the ceiling, Orlando picked it up and gently threw it into the crowd.
“Let It Go”, “Dearly Departed” and “Judgement Day” were also part of Adrenaline Mob’s set.
