ORLANDO, Fla.—Alice In Chains will lock down the stage at Hard Rock Live, on Aug. 10. Their summer headlining tour will begin on July 17 at the Starlight Theater & Casino in Pala, Calif. and conclude on Aug, 16 at Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pa.
Jerry Cantrell is the guitarist, Sean Kinney is the drummer, Mike Inez is the bassist and William DuVall is the vocalist of Alice In Chains.
For every pre-sold ticket purchased, Alice In Chains will be donating $2 to a memorial fundraiser in honor of Stefan Dayne-Ankle. Dayne-Ankle recently succumbed to his battle with Leukemia, after the band had formed a close bond with the young fan. The idea to donate came from a radio station, WMRQ, in Hartford, Conn. This will be the first time Alice In Chains will be hitting the road, after they performed at the National Football League’s (NFL) National Football Conference (NFC) Championship game. It is also the first since the 2013-2014 worldwide tour promoting their Grammy-nominated album, “The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here”. The album debuted on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart at number two. It premiered at number one on Billboard’s Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Hard Rock Albums and iTunes Rock Album charts. Both singles, “Hollow” and “Stone”, both reached number one on the rock charts.
With Alice In Chains love for professional football, they have their own fantasy football league. It is called the Alice In Chains & Friends Fantasy Football League. It holds an annual charity auction to raise protective gear and the program provides training for health workers to deal with the Ebola epidemic, as well as health and human services programs for MusiCares. Their partners for the annual fantasy football league include Music For Relief and MusiCares. For more information about Alice In Chains & Friends Fantasy Football League, please click here.
