ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Aretha Franklin will be performing at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre, on March 24. Her tour begins on March 19 at Jazz In The Gardens Music Festival at Sun Life Stadium, in Miami Gardens, Fla. It will conclude on May 19 at DPAC – Durham Performance Arts Center, in Durham, N.C.
Franklin hails from Detroit and music career spans six decades, after beginning her career as a teenage gospel singer. Over the past two centuries—she is an icon, in both culture and music. Also, she is known as the “Queen of Soul”.
On the following hits, Franklin’s voice can be heard: “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”, “A Rose Is Still A Rose”, “Call Me”, “Chain of Fools”, “Daydreaming”, “Freeway Of Love”, “I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)” with George Michael, “I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You)”, “I Say A Little Prayer”, “Jump To It”, “Respect” and “Think”.
After reuniting with Chief Creative Officer of Sony Music Entertainment, Clive Davis, her latest album was released in 2014. It was titled “Aretha Franklin Sings The Great Diva Classics”.
