PUEBLO, Colo. – Back to the 90s will take at the Southwest Motors Events Center, on Sept 3. Vanilla Ice, Naughty By Nature, Kid ‘n Play and Kool Moe Dee are set to perform. The show begins at 7 p.m. and the price of admission will range from $35 to $40 per ticket. Service, surcharges and other fees are not included.
Vanilla Ice classifies his music in the following genres: rap, hip-hop and rock. He is from Miami and he is part of the Ultrax Records roster.
In 1991—Vanilla Ice’s accolades included winning two awards in the categories at the American Music Awards, Favorite Pop/Rock New Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop new Artist. In the same year, he won the award for Best New Song at the People’s Choice Awards. In 2011, he won in the category of Best Home Show at The Factual Entertainment Awards.
Treach, Vin Rock and Kay Gee are the three individuals which make up Naughty By Nature. They are hip-hop artists hailing form East Orange, N.J. Since forming in 1991, Naughty By Nature have won awards at the GRAMMYs® and American Music Awards. They have also been honored at VH1’s Hip Hop Honors.
While performing at local talent shows, Naughty By Nature was discovered by Queen Latifah. In 1991, they had their first number one hit, “O.P.P.”. They would go onto produce their next three albums.
Christopher “Kid” Reid and Christopher “Play” Martin are the duo known as Kid ‘n Play. They are N.Y. Their discography includes:
“Face The Nation”, “Class Act”, “2 Hype” and “Funhouse”. Along with their music career, they have made their presence known in film and television. The films they have starred in consist of the first three films in the “House Party” series and “Class Act”.
On the small screen, Kid ‘n Play had a self-titled cartoon in 1990. They also appeared on other television programs.
Kool Moe Dee is from the New York City borough of Manhattan. During his decades in hip-hop, he released many records: “Knowledge Is King”, “Kool Moe Dee”, “How Ya Like Me Now”, “Interlude” and “Funke, Funke Wisdom”.
During Kool Moe Dee’s music career, he was part of many trendsetting movements in the history of hip-hop. They included being a founding member of The Treacherous Three and participating in the first rap battle at The Harlem World. He can be seen in several motion pictures too.
