LAS VEGAS – Ben Stobber was born in Hudson, Wis. When he was three years old, his family moved to Pueblo West, Colo. While he attended elementary school, he was captivated by the performing arts. He became passionate about singing, after he watched “The Little Mermaid” in the theaters. After becoming comfortable performing in front of a crowd and overcoming his nervousness, he participated in productions. He performed in a theater in the community too.
Prior to Stobber’s final semester in high school, Stobber’s sister encouraged him to move to Las Vegas. During the early years in the city, he participated in a variety of projects including: “Star Trek: The Experience”, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, Cirque du Soleil’s “Love” and Blue Man Group. One of his biggest accomplishments was partaking in the production of “Evil Dead The Musical”. He starred as Ash, for three years. For his role, he earned BroadwayWorld’s Award for Best Lead Actor in a Musical.
Stobber stepped in front of the camera and began his film career, in 2015. His first lead role was starring in the film, “Last Day of School”. When his film career reaches the point of being depicted in a biopic, he would want Seth Meyers to star as him. He mentioned the plot would be similar to the film, “Patch Adams”. He wanted to be pictured as someone who made a heartfelt impact in Hollywood, with passion and humor. He joked how it would be an Oscar nominee for the category of Best Picture.
Some of Stobber’s other favorite roles include portraying Romeo in “Romeo & Juliet” and the Lecturer in “Reefer Madness”. His favorite movies are: “Ben-Hur”, “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, “The Sound of Music”, “Big” and “Forrest Gump”. His favorite cartoons comprise of: “The Little Mermaid”, “Spirited Away”, “Wall-E”, “Prince of Egypt” and “The Iron Giant”.
When Stobber is away from the movie sets and behind his desk as a concierge, he occupies his time with his favorite hobbies. They include: hiking, preparing sushi at home, swimming, singing, bowling, creative writing and volunteering in the community.
Goals for Stobber’s acting career include focusing on his career path, finding an agent in Hollywood, Calif., joining the Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG), giving his earnings to the community and supporting people who supported his dreams. Someday he hopes to work with Todd Haynes, Peter Jackson, Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg and Sam Raimi.
