Comedy Zone welcomes Benji Brown

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Benji Brown will be performing stand-up comedy five times at Comedy Zone, from Jan. 11 through Jan 13. Brown is an actor, stand-up comedian and radio personality.
Television programs Brown appeared in were: BET’s “Comic View”, “Laffapalooza” with Jamie Foxx, MTV’s Wild n’ Out” with Nick Cannon, ESPN’s “Cold Pizza”, Starz’s “1st Amendment Stand Up” with Martin Lawrence, TV One’s “The Rickey Smiley Show”, Sony Ericsson World Championship Tennis Tournament, BET’s “College Hill” and “350 Degrees – Game Night”. On the episode of “1st Amendment Stand Up”, he was the writer of his own material and was on the same episode as Tommy Chunn. He has also appeared in the National Football League’s Super Bowl commercials for Bud Light, alongside Cedric the Entertainer.
Films Brown has appeared in were: “The Breakthrough” and portrayed Kalvin in “A Miami Tail”.
Brown was on the comedy tour, “Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns”, along with: Chris Rock, Steve Harvey, Rickey Smiley and Monique. Brown has three comedy specials: “In Touch with Reality”, “Nothing Is For Free” and “The Breakthrough”. “In Touch with Reality” was directed by Melvin James.
Comedian peers have praised Brown, including Tommy Davidson (“In Living Color”) and Mike Epps (“Next Friday”).
“You have no choice but to leave your world behind and venture into his,” Davidson stated. “Benji has effectively mastered his comedy and characters on and off screen.”

In the music industry—Brown’s voice can be heard on one of Trick Daddy’s records, Flo Rida’s “R.O.O.T.S” and Brisco’s “Street Medicine”.
As a comedian, Brown hosts at the Improv in the following cities in Fla.: Fort Lauderdale, Miami and West Palm Beach. His talent includes many voices, including his “Kiki” character. He is a radio personality on Cox Radio’s WEDR 99 Jamz and Rickey Smiley Morning Show. He hosts several charitable and celebrity events. He returns annually as the comedy entertainment for Alonzo Mourning and Dwyane Wade’s Annual Zo’s Summer Groove. Brown’s upcoming special is “Laff or Die Laffin” with Poe Boy.
Tickets to attend Brown’s performances at Comedy Zone are $20, $25 and $114.50. They exclude fees and taxes. Show times for Jan. 11 are 7:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. (Jan. 12 and Jan. 13) and 6 p.m. on Jan. 14. All sales are final. There will be no refunds, changes or cancellations. Only those 21+ are allowed to attend.
