Danny Malone is the vocalist and guitarist, Kenni Hede is the bassist and Charlie Siess is the drummer of Danny Malone. They are a future-folk, sexy-depression and foragoraphobia band from Austin, Texas. Their influences are Michael Jackson, Tool, The Cure, The Clash, The Beatles, childhood traumas, intoxicants and jail.
“Speeddreamer” was their latest record. It featured 10 tracks, recorded on a four-track cassette tape recorder (a Tascam 424) and was released in 2013. Some of the tracks were recorded in one day including: “Black Cat”, “Haunted, My Only” and “Olympia2”. They spent long nights and days recording it in a barn, in complete isolation. They spent a total of two months, on the album. The three bandmates called the album a “slow burn”.
