COCOA, Fla. – Blues Traveler’s travels will take them to Downtown Cocoa Village, on Feb. 20. ROXY ROCA will be the direct support on the bill.
John Popper plays the harmonica and is the lead vocalist, Chan Kinchla is the guitarist, Brendan Hill is the drummer, Tad Kinchla is the bassist and Ben Wilson is the keyboardist of Blues Traveler. They will be on tour promoting their album, “Blow Up The Moon”.
“Blow Up The Moon” features songs with Thompson Square, Plain White T’s, 3OH!3, Dirty Heads, Rome Ramirez of Sublime, Hanson, Jewel, Secondhand Serenade, JC Chasez (formerly of *NSync), Bowling for Soup, New Hollow and Thomas Ian Nicholas. Plain White T’s and Blues Traveler joined forces through Twitter. Popper and Plain White T’s vocalist, Tom Higgenson, bonded over Quentin Tarantino’s films, “Kill Bill Vol. 1” and “Kill Bill Vol. 2”.
The idea for the cooperative album happened when Blues Travelers celebrated the 20th anniversary of their album, “Four”. It is the first collaborative effort Blues Traveler made and with artists from different genres including: country, pop, reggae and hip-hop.

They are a soul and funk group from Austin, Texas and are part of the Stag Records roster.
ROXY ROCA debuted at Austin City Limits Festival’s after-party and it was after a year of “recruiting, woodshedding and writing”. Buzz generated quickly, since they made their first appearance.
They have shared the stage with B.B. King, Bone Thugs -N- Harmony, Tom Jones, Mayer Hawthorne Ludacris and many more. They have performed at festivals including: South By Southwest, Alabama BayFest, Old Settlers Music Festival, Rhymes and Vines and Art Outside.
On Feb. 24—ROXY ROCA released their album, “Ain’t Nothin’ Fancy”. It was recorded at EAR Studio in Austin, Texas and was produced by Lars Goransson.
