Bringin' Down The House to showcase Fla. musicians at House of Blues

ORLANDO, Fla.—Musicians Institute, the College of Contemporary Music in Hollywood and House of Blues are joining forces to bring the fifth annual Bringin’ Down The House Event to Fla., on April 27. The event was designed for teenagers to network with those within the music industry, partake in interactive workshops with professionals including Musicians Institute’s Songwriting Instructor, Robin Randall, and perform at the various House Of Blues main stages across the U.S.
Director of Marketing at Musicians Institute, Jessica Sullivan, spoke of Bringin’ Down The House.
She went onto say, “Bringin’ Down The House is perfectly in line with what we dedicate ourselves to on a daily basis at Musicians Institute. We inspire and train young people about what it takes to become professionals in the music industry, and our team jumped on the idea of supporting Bringin’ Down the House. It’s totally in alignment with our mission, and gives us the chance to collaborate with our partners and neighbors at Music Forward.”
Admission is free to attend and the door time is yet to be determined. The lineup for the Orlando showcase is: Caleb Hollan, Gudgud, Imani Nashinal, Julia, Jumbo Shrimp Inc. and The Charter. Other locations participating in the Bringin’ Down The House concert series include: Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Houston.
Caleb Hollan, Gudgud, Imani Nashinal, Julia, Jumbo Shrimp Inc. and The Charter were the selected few of over 4,300 national acts whom submitted to be part of Bringin’ Down The House concert tour. A total of 49 bands and solo artists were chosen to perform at select locations at House of Blues, across the U.S. 155 were chosen were invited to workshops about live production, music as a business, music creation and representation and music marketing. Top-tier specialists from companies such as ASCAP, BMI, Def Jam Records, Live Nation, Motown Records, Musicians Institute and more applied knowledge to the future of music.
