Bryan Adams’ “Reckless” 30th Anniversary Tour stops by The St. Augustine Amphitheatre

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.—Bryan Adams is currently on tour promoting the 30th anniversary of his album, “Reckless”, and it will bring him to The St. Augustine Amphitheatre on June 28. The current U.S. tour began on April 11 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston and will conclude on Aug. 1 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. In honor of his album—he toured throughout Canada, Europe and 11 arena shows in the U.K.
“Reckless” was released on Nov. 5, 1984 via A&M Records. It was co-produced by Adams and Bob Clearmountain (Paul McCartney, The Pretenders, Tears For Fears, The Who) and was produced at Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver, Canada. It sold over 12 million copies worldwide, including over five million in the U.S and was the first Canadian album to sell over 1 million.
When it comes to being recognized by Billboard, “Reckless” reached number one on the Billboard 200 charts. The singles: “Heaven”, “It’s Only Love”, “One Night Love Affair”, “Run To You”, “Somebody” and “Summer of ’69” made the top 15 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 1989, “Reckless” was ranked 49 out of 100 on the Kerrang!’s “Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time” and 99th on the “Greatest Rock Album of All Time” by Classic Rock. Bob Mersereau ranked it #12 on the Greatest Canadian Album. The syndicated radio program, “In The Studio”, honored it with a 25th anniversary airplay on Dec. 12, 2009.
On Nov. 10, 2014—it was re-released in celebration of the 30th anniversary of “Reckless” and features unreleased material. There are two and four disc versions. The unreleased tracks on the first disc include: “Let Me Down Easy”, “Teacher, Teacher”, “The Boys Night Out”, “Draw The Line”, “Play To Win”, “Too Hot To Handle” and “Reckless”. The second disc features a live performance in Hammersmith Odeon in 1985. It features: “Remember”, “The Only One”, “It’s Only Love”, “Kids Wanna Rock”, “Long Gone”, “Cuts Like A Knife”, “Lonely Nights”, “Tonight”, “This Time”, “The Best Was Yet To Come”, “Heaven”, “Run To You”, “Somebody”, “Straight From The Heart” and “Summer Of ‘69”.
The super deluxe edition features a DVD and the original album on Blu-ray. The DVD features “Run TO You” and music videos for: “This Time”, “Summer Of ‘69”, “Somebody”, “Kids Wanna Rock”, “Heaven”, “Run TO You”, “One Night Love Affair” and “It’s Only Love”.
