Burbank Comedy Festival announces comedians and events

BURBANK, Calif. – Burbank Comedy Festival announced the after parties, classes, comedians, open mics, panels and podcast schedules for 2017. It will take place at Flappers Comedy Club. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., on Aug. 13. It will be at the comedy shop/box office.
Workshops being held are the following: The Foundation of Comedy Intensive (Joanie Coyote, Joshua Snyder, Ken Pringle), Joke Lab 1 with Ken Pringle, Producing Live Comedy Events with Joshua Snyder, Marketing and Promoting and Breaking into the College Market with Barbara Holliday, Intro to Writing for Late Night TV with Gabe Abelson, Social Media for Comedians with Joshua Snyder, Working in Corporate Comedy with James P. Connolly, One-on-One Career Coaching with Barbara Holliday, Writing Your Comedy Movie with Brian McLaughlin, Joke Lab 2 with Joshua Snyder, How to Get Work as a TV/Film Studio Warm Up Comic with Michael Rayner, How to Get an Agent with Mark Scroggs, Intro to Voiceover with Moira Quirk, The Art of Pitching Your Comedy Project with Laura Brennan, Basics of Screen Writing with Steve Trautmann, One-on-One Career Coaching with Ken Pringle, Creating Your Comedy Podcast with Steve Trautmann, Joke Lab 3 with Dave Reinitz, How to Be a Better Emcee with Crystal Charee, The Anatomy of a Joke with Ken Pringle, Getting Booked on the Road with Ken Pringle and Check Your Set! Live podcast tapings taking place are: “Never Not Funny Show” with Jimmy Pardo and Matt Belknap, “The Titus Podcast” with Christopher Titus and Rachel Bradley, “The Jimmy Dore Podcast” with Jimmy Dore and Stef Zamorano, “The Superior Podcast” with Hal Sparks and Frank Prather and “Karen and Kira Can Read Podcast” with Karen Rontoski and Kira Soltanovich.
Open mics will occur every night starting at 11 p.m.at Flappers Bar. The after parties will take place at the following locations at 11 p.m.: Barney’s Beanery (Aug. 13, Aug. 14), Fantasia Billiards (Aug. 15), Yard House (Aug. 16), Storybook Tavern (Aug. 17) and Hilton Garden Inn (Aug. 18). The after parties will include “free appetizers, a cash bar and loads of fun.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sareth Ney is the journalist for A Quarter and Dream Pictures. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Center for New Media from Colorado State University-Pueblo. He is a former apprentice to master of horror, Clive Barker. He is a Wu-Tang Clan inspired superhero, Wu-Man Chu. He is an award-winning short filmmaker; his goal is to write 150 articles in select time zones, inducts every article into his hall of fame, is a stand-up comedian, motivational speaker, founder and co-host of Pueblo's Independent Multimedia Podcast and is the festival director at Sareth-Fest Music and Comedy Festival.
