House of Blues' stage set for Chris Tucker

ORLANDO, Fla. – Chris Tucker will be performing stand-up comedy at Hard Rock Live, on March 25. His expedition will begin at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., on March 24. The last set of information stated for his tour is Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas, on July23. Another city expected to have a performance is Sacramento, Calif. He is an actor, comedian and humanitarian.
Tucker was born on Aug. 31, 1972, in Atlanta. After graduating from high school, he moved to Hollywood, Calif. He had a reoccurring guest spot in 1992’s stand-up comedy show, “Def Comedy Jam”. His acting career began, shortly after. He was a special guest and portrayed a rapper on the television show, “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper”. He was uncredited in the role of the “MC in Mall” in the 1993 film, “The Meteor Man”. In 1993, he was known as Johnny Booze in “House Party 3”.
In 1995, Tucker co-starred in three films: “Friday”, “Panther” and “Dead Presidents”. After taking a year off and he was part of three movies in 1997: “The Fifth Element”, “Money Talks” and Jackie Brown”. In 1998, he began the trilogy of “Rush Hour”. In 2001, the sequel was made. In-between the second and third installment, he had a role in Michael Jackson’s music video for “You Rock My World”. “Rush Hour 3” was completed, in 2007. He returned to film in 2012 as Danny in “Silver Linings Playbook”.
Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor were the comedians Tucker stated were his inspirations. According to his imdb.com profile, his two quotes about stand-up comedy were:
“I will always do stand-up, even if my acting career takes off. Stand-up is my life”.
“I tell people that stand-up’s like golf: you gotta do it every day to get it down - or at least three times a week to get it down.”
“Chris Tucker Live” is Tucker’s latest stand-up comedy special and it is streaming on Netflix. In the near future, Tucker will be portraying Albert in “Billy Lynn’s Halftime Walk”.
The Chris Tucker Foundation, New Life Cogic and James Redwine collaborate for an annual celebrity golf tournament. They raise funds for scholarship programs and homelessness initiatives.
