Comedy Zone's May events

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Comedy Zone - Jacksonville will welcome the following stand-up comedy performances by: Jenn Weeks, Brian Thomas, T.J. Miller, FunnyMaine, Benji Brown, Patrick Carson, WellRED Comedy Tour, Bob Lauver, Christina Schriver, Pablo Francisco, Ozrick Cooley, Darren Knight also known as (a.k.a.) Southern Momma and Dan Cummins.
There will be a total of seven LOL Comedy Night’s featuring local comics: Weeks (May 1), Thomas (May 2 and May 16), Carson (May 15), Lauver (May 21), Schriver (May 22) and Cooley (May 28). All shows start at 7:30 p.m.
Touring comedians with one night only shows include FunnyMaine (May 8, 7 p.m., $20-$35) and Knight (May 29, 7 p.m., $28).
wellRED Comedy Tour will perform back-to-back dates, on May 17 and May 18. There will be two shows, 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., on each. Tickets start at $25. Very Important Person meet and greet are $50 each. Trae Crowder, Drew Morgan and Ryan Forrester make up the wellRED Comedy Tour. The name of 2019’s tour is wellRED: From Dixie With Love.
Miller (May 3 - May 4 at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.; May 5 at 6 p.m.; $30-$55), Francisco (May 23 - May 25 at 7:30 p.m.; May 24 - May 25 at 10 p.m., $20) and Cummins (May 30 - June 1 at 7:30 p.m.; May 31 - June 1 at 10 p.m., $20 - $22.50) are set to perform three nights in a row. Francisco debut was on Howard Stern’s radio show. He was on “Frank TV”, “Mad TV”, “Mind of Mencia” and more. Cummins released his sixth and latest album titled “Maybe I’m the Problem?”
Brown is set for four nights and five performances (May 9 through May 11; 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.; May12 at 6 p.m.; $25-$35). Brown is heard on WEDR 99 Jamz and hosts the Annual Zo’s Summer Groove. Television appearances include MTV and ESPN. His website is www.benjibrownshow.com.
