Metropolitan Park to host Connection Festival

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Connection Festival will take place at Metropolitan Park, on July 23. The third annual event will be presented by X102.9 Jacksonville’s New Alternative, Community First Credit Union, Finlandia Vodka, Yuengling and Subway. It will begin at noon and is a rain or shine event. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by adults at all times.
Cage The Elephant and Wu-Tang Clan will co-headline Connection Festival. Big Data, The Bouncing Souls, St. Lucia, New Beat Fund, Never Shout Never, New York Ska Jazz Ansemble, Beebs and Her Money Makers, MZG Live featuring Allen Aucoin, Run River North, Whole Wheat Bread, Colours, Waterseed, Control This! Askemelflcare, Moya Moya, Cloud9 Vibes, Brother Hawk, Universal Green, Skyview, Shannon Ogden, Secret Cigarettes and Jackie Stranger are also slated to perform. The lineup is subject to change.
General admission tickets are on sale at $35 and very important person (VIP) tickets are available at $85. $485 general admission hotel packages are available. It includes two general admission tickets to Connection Fest, two commemorative festival shirts, merchandise from the sponsors and travel size festival supplies. Prices exclude taxes and service fees.
VIP hotel packages are available at $595. Access to the VIP front stage pit and VIP bar and lounge are included. VIP areas also include private restrooms and food to purchase. Two commemorative festival shirts, merchandise from the sponsors and travel size festival supplies are included in the package. Prices exclude taxes and service fees.
Vendors have the opportunity to sell food, refreshments, goods and services, art, exhibit the business and raise awareness for non-profit organizations at Connection Fest. The request form can be found by visiting their website.
For those interested in joining the Connection Festival street team, they can email [email protected]. Those willing to be part of the street team will be responsible for distributing flyers, posters and posting pictures to their Instagram accounts. They must also tag the festival with their account, @connectionfest. Hashtags recommended are #willworkfortickets, #weconnectjax and #connectfest16. Also, they can help with a promo event.
