Corazon Comedy Festival announces lineup for inaugural year

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Comedians from all over the U.S. applied to take part in the first ever Corazon Comedy Festival. It is set to take place at Karla Wagner’s Corazon Cinema and Café, on Dec. 17.
Fla. comedians include Billy Myers III, Norris “Miracle” McMiller, Larry Griffin, Micah Gilliam, Benjamin Brainard, Chris Shepard, Donna “Lady Doc” Williams, Mike Vivaldi, Randy Vega, Annie Polzella, Jessie “JPaw” Pawlish, Dr. Anna Lepeley, Ph.D. and Christina Cunninghame Schriver. It is hosted by Sareth Ney and is headlined by Casey Bryant Crawford. The Improv Adventure, It’s All About Amy, “Guffpunch” film screening and After Dark Comedy Show hosted by Forest Scott are the special attractions of the Corazon Comedy Festival. Schriver will be teaching a class about stand-up comedy.
Out of state comedians consist of: Austin Mooney (Iowa), Andrew Steiner (N.Y.), Jon Durnell (Calif.), Ariel Evans (N.Y.), Nash Rose (N.Y.), Brian Bahe (N.Y.), Marcus Cox (Pa.) and Brian Ramey (Ga.). Steiner will also host The Weirdball Podcast at the Corazon Comedy Festival.
“Guffpunch” will be screened for the first time in St. Augustine, at the Corazon Comedy Festival. It is a film centering on the journey of a few comedians. Sean Beagan and some of the cast and crew will be in attendance. They will have a question and answers portion and will be performing stand-up comedy.
Confessions of the Corazon is the platform where a select number of comedians will share one story based on an actual event in their lives. Each comedian will have 10 minutes each.
Around The TV Tray with Sareth Ney is a talk show where Ney interviews comedians he has yet to interview for his publication, aqdpi.com. He and the comedian will sit around a TV tray, talk through microphones about their past, present and future as a stand-up comedian.
Tickets to attend the Corazon Comedy Festival are $5 for students and active military personnel. It will be $10 for those 18 years old and over. Vouchers can be purchased at the venue. The price of admission includes the “Guffpunch” screening, Around The TV Tray with Sareth Ney, Confessions of the Corazon, the Stand-Up Pop Up Shop and the stand-up comedy portion. Prices to attend the podcast, improv, classes and workshop varies.
