Dave Chappelle sells out four showcases at Florida Theatre

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Dave Chappelle will be performing stand-up comedy in front of four sold out crowds at Florida Theatre, on Feb. 8 and Feb. 9. It will be part of his Feb. tour and it begins with two performances at The Charleston Music Hall in Charleston, S.C., on Feb. 1. The trek will conclude with four performances at Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, from Feb. 15 to Feb. 18. He is an actor, comedian, producer and writer.
As an actor, Chappelle made appearances in the following: “The End of August”, “Robin Hood: Men In Tights”, “Undercover Blues”, “Getting In”, “Home Improvement”, “Buddies”, “The Nutty Professor”, “Con Air”, “The Real Blonde”, “Damn Whitey”, “Bowl of Pork”, “Half Baked”, “The Larry Sanders Show”, “Woo”, “You’ve Got Mail”, “200 Cigarettes”, “Blue Streak”, “Screwed”, “Undercover Brother”, “Wanda at Large” and “Chappelle’s Show”. He provided voiceover work in “Joe’s Apartment”, “Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist”, “Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child” and “Crank Yankers”. He was uncredited for “The End of August”.
Executive producer credits for Chappelle include: “The Dave Chappelle Project”, “Dave Chappelle: Killin’ Them Softly”, “Dave Chappelle: For What It’s Worth” and “Chappelle’s Show”. He was the producer of “Half Baked” and “Dave Chappelle’s Block Party”. He was not credited for “Half Baked” though.

Tickets have been sold out on their website, after they were made available for purchase on Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. Cellular phones will be prohibited from entering the venue. All attendees are encouraged to leave them inside of their cars or at home. Cell phones which are brought into the venue will be placed inside of a locked pouch. All spectators will be pat down and searched with a metal detecting wand. Those who choose to use their mobile phones will be expelled.
