Daytona Beach Comic and Toy Convention to take place at Embry-Riddle ICI Center

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona Beach Comic and Toy Convention will take place at Embry-Riddle ICI Center, on March 20 and Nov. 13. The doors will open and 10 a.m. and the event will end at 4 p.m. Admission to the convention is $5. Children 12 and under will receive free admission.
Attractions and activities taking place at Daytona Beach Comic and Toy Convention include guests, 50 vendors, a costume contest and door prizes. Over 100 tables will be set up selling action figures, collectibles, comic books, magazines, records, toys, trade paper backs and more. Vendors from in and around Daytona Beach will be in attendance, including Steve Myers of World of Comics.
Guests for Daytona Beach Comic and Toy Convention include: Jim Fern (Marvel and DC Comics artist), Tim Tyler (independent artist), Roland Mann (Marvel and Malibu writer and editor), Captain Cartoon Dick Kupla (Crack Magazine), Barry Gregory (John Aman Amazing Man), George Moss (artist, designer), Humphrey Ching (illustrator), Jeff Whiting (inker and artist), Joel D. Wynkoop (King of the B movies), M. Catherine Wynkoop (actress), Joe Lovece (author of “Steam Man of the West”), John Crowther (creater and writer of “Rochelle: The Teen Cockroach”) and Joe Fauvel (artist).
The Riley and Kimmy Show will host a podcast at Daytona Beach Comic and Toy Convention. Phantasmagoria Orlando will provide entertainment in the form of dance, aerial acrobatics, puppeteers, stage combat and live music. They are a critically acclaimed Victorian, Steampunk and horror inspired troupe. Comic Book Certification Service (CBCS) will be there to grade comic books attendees bring in. They will be witness to comics being signed by those in the comic book industry.
$300 in the form of Daytona Beach Bucks and will be good to use at the Daytona Beach Comic and Toy Convention. The prizes will be up for grabs to three divisions and the first three places with the best costume. The three divisions include the age brackets of 11 years old and younger, 12 to 17 years old and 18 years old and older. It will take place at 2:30 p.m. Rules for the contest include: no real weapons, only props can be used, no play fighting, no costumes with distasteful or lewd nature.
