Biography:
Diego Rodriguez is an American vocalist of Beneath The Floor Boards and the bass player of Velociriffer.

While in high school, Rodriguez and a group of friends decided to form a metal band called Ira. Up until this point, he had never really played an instrument or ever sang a note. His love for music was strong. Since he had no knowledge of how to play an instrument and since it was a metal band, he was chosen to perform vocals. At the time, the group felt that a metal vocalist for their style didn’t need to be able to sing all that well.

Through the years and with the same core group of friends, Rodriguez became a more confident vocalist everyday. Although the bands changed names and a few members, it was always the same guys day in and day out.

In 2009--Rodriguez played his first show with the band, Xorcyst, at Phil’s Radiator in Pueblo, Colorado. Xorcyst would go on to form a small gathering, after gaining a few new members. Xorcyst would play many shows with two other bands that were tied together, Death By Cemetery and Voltaic. He even played in Death By Cemetery, in its infancy. During this time, he picked up the bass and began to play whenever he was able to. Eventually--Xorcyst turned into Reticulum and he was given full-time bass duties, while splitting vocals with the guitarist.

As the years went by, these bands eventually broke up in the end of 2010. In late 2013, Rodriguez did not play any music.

Finally in October of 2013, the original members of Death By Cemetery would get together and form a new band called Beneath The Floor Boards. Rodriguez no longer had bass duties but would once again be the main vocalist. This band was much different than the others, as the music was more complex than he had played before.

Rodriguez helped form another project called Velociriffer, in 2019. He once again was given bass and vocal duties. This new band would be more reminiscent of the old Xorcyst days.
