D.R.I. and Kaustik's Gulf Coast Tour 2017 to include Nighthawks

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Gulf coast leg of Dirty Rotten Imbecile’s (D.R.I.) 2017 Tour will include Nighthawks, on Dec. 6. It will begin on Nov. 29 at Come & Take It Live in Austin, Texas. The expedition will conclude on Dec. 10 at Bombshells in Orlando, Fla. Kaustik will be the direct support, while on tour with D.R.I.
Spike Cassidy is the guitarist, Kurt Brecht is the vocalist, Walter “Monsta” Ryan is the drummer and Harald Oimoen is the bassist of D.R.I. They hail from Houston are on the Beer City Records roster. Their genre of music is a combination of hardcore, punk, metal, thrash and crossover.
Since forming in 1982, D.R.I. have released the following albums: “Dirty Rotten LP”, “Dealing With It”, “Four of a Kind”, “Thrash Zone”, “Definition”, ‘Live”, “Full Speed Ahead”, “Skating to Some F#*ked Up S@!t”, “Dirt Rotten Hitz”, “Live at CBGB’S 1984”, “The Dirty Rotten LP”, “Crossover”, “I’m Yours”, “But Wait… There’s More” and “Live at the Ritz, 1987”.
“But Wait… There’s More” was D.R.I.’s latest studio recording and it was five track extended play (EP). It was released on June 10, 2016. The songs were: “Against Me”, “Anonymity”, “As Seen On TV”, “Mad Man” and “Couch Slouch”. It had a run time of nine minutes and one track with explicit lyrics.
Robert “Robbo” Madrigal (lead vocalist and bassist), Ryan Burrows (guitarist and backup vocalist), Elan Mlagenovich (lead guitarist and backup vocalist) and Christopher Lewallen (drummer) are the members of Kaustik. They are a metal band from Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif. They are part of the Black Voodoo Records and Irish Voodoo Records rosters.
In 2011, Kaustik release their first album and it was self-title. They went onto release an EP called “Forged in the Bones of Our Freedom”, in 2014. Another EP, “F**k Politics, Listen to Kaustik”, was distributed in 2016. It featured songs from their previous two efforts, along with new songs from their full length project. It is due out in the fall of 2017.
“F**k Politics, Listen to Kaustik” featured five songs incuding: “Less PC, More F**k You”, “Forged in the Bones of our Freedom” , “Casualty of the Time”, “Disgruntled Employees of a Bulls**t Messiah” and “Arms Dealer”. Three have released three music videos.
Doors will open at 7 p.m., for D.R.I. and Kaustik’s trek stop at Nighthawks. It will be an all-ages show. Tickets range from $13 and $15.
