Fla.—Europe will be taking a four day cruise and Sabaton will make two tour stops in Fla., in April and May.
Europe will be one of the acts on the Monsters of Rock Cruise, when they depart from Miami. Boarding the vessel will be: Atomic Punks, Babylon AD, Bang Tango, Black N Blue, Black Star Ride, Derek St. Holmes, Extreme, Frank Hannon Band, Faster Pussycat, Gabbie Rae, Heaven’s Edge, Honeymoon Suite, Joel Hoekstra, John Corabi, Keel, Kip Winger, Kix, Krokus, Leatherwolf, Lillian Axe, Lita Ford, Michael Sweet, Mike Tramp, Night Ranger, Pamela Moore, Queensrÿche, Rhino Bucket, Ron Keel, Stryper, Tesla, Tom Keifer, Tyketto, The Winery Dogs, Y & T and Zebra. Nightwish will be accompanying Sabaton.
John Tempest is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist, John Norun is the lead and rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist, John Levén is the bassist and backup vocalist, Mic Michaeli is the keyboardist, pianist, backup vocalist and occasional rhythm guitarists and Ian Haugland is the drummer, percussionist and backup vocalist of Europe.
“War Of Kings” is the newest release from Europe and it was distributed by Hell & Back Recordings. The album was recorded at PanGaia Studios, in Stockholm, Sweden. The album has 11 songs and it was produced by Dave Cobb (Rival Sons) and engineered by John Netti.
Europe’s career spans nearly 40 years and received much success with their 1986 album, “The Final Countdown”. It was their third record. During the early 90s until the early 2000s, they went on hiatus. They reunited, re-established and re-enforced themselves by releasing 2012’s “Bag Of Bones”. The album debuted at #2 on the Swedish national charts, as well as the U.K.’s top 40 rock album charts.
Joakim Brodén is the vocalist and keyboardist, Pär Sundström is the bassist and backup vocalist, Chris Rörland and Thobbe Englund are the guitarists and backup vocalists and Hannes van Dahl is the drummer of Sabaton.
Sabaton is currently on tour with Nightwish and they are promoting their newest album, “Heroes”. The album was released through Nuclear Blast. They have been around for over 10 years, headlined their annual sold out festivals and van Dahl is known for cruising and drumming in an armored tank. Their live shows are what they are known for the most, as they perform songs about World War II and saluting the men and women of each branch of the U.S. armed forces.
