Independent Artists Night second opening round takes place at Finn's Beachside Pub

FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. – The second opening round of Independent Artists Night took place at Finn’s Beachside Pub, on Feb. 24. Tony Paul Neal hosts the five week long competition. The sponsors of the event include: Finn’s Beachside Pub, Surf 97.3 FM, S.R. Perrott, Inc. and Coors Light.
Karadine Kloo, Mike Ladd, Jimmi Soldo, Denny Blue, Bodil Haheim, Anthony Wotursky, Jon Cabrera, Tony Lagano, Uncle Eddie & Robin and Bella Ernst & Cochise Israel were the contestants of the second opening round of Independent Artists Night.
Neal began the competition by welcoming everyone to the Independent Artists Night round. Then, he performed the following songs: “Home Sweet Home”, “I’m Right Here”, “Down”, “The Dog Song”, “Stone Cold Soldier” and “Pray For Me”.
“Lie”, “Toronto” and “Forest” were part of Kloo’s recital.
“Jackson Blues” and “Rain” were part of Ladd’s performance.
“Free Song”, “Sweet Heart Attack” and “Foolish/Reprise Free” were part of Soldo’s second opening round of Independent Artists Night’s set list. He looped shakers, bass, guitar and vocals into his portion of the contest. During his performance, a spectator appreciated his music and tipped him with dollar bills. He nodded to show gratitude, as he kept performing.
Blue’s concert included “The Downtown Blues”, “My Fedora”, “A Ballad For Jimmy and James” and “Fill My Coffee Cup”.
Haheim strummed her guitar and provided vocals for “Opportunity”, “Whisper Your Name”, “Life Is Strange” and “Warrior”.
“Save Me”, “Love Transcends”, “Still Standing” and “Get The Party Started” were part of Wotursky’s set.
Cabrera’s runner-up concert featured a set of songs. The first was which about communicating with the squirrels in N.J. and feeding them peanuts. He joked how it lead to having a ban from feeding anything to the species. During his performance, he beatboxed and looped it. It assisted with the percussion of his songs.
“Girl, I’d Break A Commandment For You”, “Hey Casey Anthony”, “Welcome To Daytona” and “Like A Lion” were part of Lagano’s showcase.
Uncle Eddie & Robin selected to perform “When We’re Together”, “Here I Am Sober”, “Never Really Loved You” and “Count Our Beans”.
Bella Ernst and Cochise Israel performed “Behind Her Eyes”, “Better Dayze”, “Make Me Feel Alive” and “Someone Better Than You”.
Soldo and Cabrera advanced to the final round of the Independent Artist Night competition. Soldo won first prize and was awarded a case of Coors Light. The two will be competing on April 27.
