Stand-up comedy shows at Florida Theatre

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – From the months of Nov. through Jan., there will be five stand-up comedy performances taking place at the Florida Theatre. They include: Tom Segura, Chris D'Elia, Kathleen Madigan, Benji Brown and Jeanne Robertson.
On Nov. 2, Segura is set to perform at 8 p.m. He is an actor, comedian and writer. Along with his wife, they host a podcast called “Your Mom’s House”. Tickets range from $25 to $75.
To date, Segura released three Netflix specials: “Completely Normal”, “Mostly Stories” and “Disgraceful”. “Completely Normal”, “Disgraceful”, “Thrilled” and “White Girls with Cornrows” were available as comedy records. He appeared on television and performed at comedy festivals.
D’Elia’s “Follow The Leader 2018 Tour” makes a stop, on Nov. 9 and begins at 8 p.m. $29.50 to $65 are the range of tickets.
“Congratulations with Chris D’Elia” is the name of D’Elia’s weekly podcast.
“White Male. Black Comic.”, “Incorrigible” and “Man On Fire” were D’Elia’s comedy specials. “Man On Fire” and the horror comedy, “Little Evil”, could be seen on Netflix. He has appeared on NBC, TBS, Showtime and more.
Madigan’s television credit included being on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”. She filmed 10 comedy specials: two with HBO, three with Comedy Central, four for CMT’s “Salute to the Troops” with Ron White” and “Gone Madigan”. “Gone Madigan” was filmed for Showtime and available on Netflix.
Madigan is a regular guest on “The Bob and Tom Show” and “The Stephanie Miller Show”, on syndicated radio. $25 to $75 are the range per ticket.
Brown is set to perform on Nov.23 at 7 p.m. He is an on-air personality on “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show”. Tickets range from $15 to $65.
Some television credits for Brown include: TV One’s “The Rickey Smiley Show”, BET’s “ComicView”, Starz’s “1st Amendment Comedy Show”, MTV’s “Nick Cannon presents Wild n’ Out” and “Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza”. He was on the same bill as comedians: Chris Rock, Smiley, Monique and Steve Harvey.
Florida Theatre’s stage is set for Robertson, on Jan. 26. It begins at 8 p.m. and tickets range from $29 to $49.
Some of Robertson’s accolades consist of: The Cavett Award, Toastmasters International Golden Gavel, NC Press Association’s 2001 North Carolinian of the Year and National Speakers Association’s Master of Influence Award.
“Just Jeanne” can be heard on Sirius/XM Radio’s Family Comedy Specials. Her videos on YouTube surpassed over 59 million views.
