Flyover Comedy Festival seeking stand-up comedians, storytellers, variety shows, improv and sketch groups

ST. LOUIS – Flyover Comedy Fest will be taking place at The Grove, from Nov. 9 through Nov. 12. Submissions are being accepted for stand-up comedy, improv groups, sketch groups and storytellers. Consideration will end on June 15, improv teams and comedians will be notified if they are chosen on July 15. The complete lineup will be announced in the middle of Aug.
Those chosen to perform will take showcase their material several times, throughout Flyover Comedy Festival. They will be listed on the program, advertising materials and on the festival website. Headliners will be chosen by the festival organizers.
Badges will be distributed to all performers at Flyover Comedy Festival. Those with the specific badges will gain access to all of the shows and special events. Food will be provided at the festival and vouchers with Uber are available. Talent will not be compensated with money, unless arrangements were made. Lodging is up to the talent to find and the search for inexpensive places can be assisted by emailing [email protected].
Submission fee s for St. Louis stand-up comedians are $5 and all others are $15. The amounts are due by 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Starting on May 16, each price point will be raised by $10 and will be accepted until June 15. St. Louis improv groups are $20 and all others are $25 are due by 11:59 p.m. Central Time. by May 15. Afterwards, the price will increase to $35 and will be accepted until June 15. Sketch, storytelling and variety shows for St. Louis residents are $20. The amount is due by May 15 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. For all others, it is $25. The prices will increase to $35, afterwards. Late submissions submitted will be accepted between June 15 and July 15. However, there will be a $10 surcharge.
Videos for stand-up comedy consideration for Flyover Comedy Festival should only be five minutes in length. Improv videos should be between 10 and 30 minutes. Sketch, storytelling and variety show videos should be at least five minute s in length and must be a live performance. Videos must be filmed after Nov. 2016.
Other materials needed for Flyover Comedy Festival are: a headshot, personal bio and all social media profiles related to the entrant. All social media presence must be set to public. They will be used for advertising and marketing. For more information, please click here.
