What inspired you to perform stand-up comedy?
I always wanted to find my passion. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a Finance and International Business major, I realized that wasn't it! I was always told I was funny, and always loved making people laugh. So without telling anyone, I took an improv comedy class and that's when I realized I wanted to be a comedian.
What was the feeling like, when you first performed stand-up comedy?
The first time I performed stand-up I felt both lost and excited; lost because I had no idea what I was doing, but excited because of the enjoyment of performing. I couldn't wait to do it again.
Which are your favorite comedy specials and record albums?
My favorite comedy specials are Jerry Seinfeld's "I'm Telling You for the Last Time" and Dave Chappelle's "Killin’ Them Softly"
Which are your favorite sketch shows, sitcoms and comedy films?
My favorite show of all-time is “Seinfeld”. I'm a huge fan and know all the episodes. Of course, I'm also a big fan of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, as well as “Veep”.
If you could go on tour with any comedian, which one would you choose?
Brian Regan, Seinfeld or Chris Rock.
If you could get roasted by five comedians (past or present), which ones would you choose?
Rock, Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Eddie Murphy and Jim Carrey
Which other forms of comedy would you like to venture off into?
I love acting. So, definitely want to act in sitcoms and movies. I also like to write. So, writing for a show or creating mine own. Later on—I want to produce, while helping others develop their ideas.
What experience would you like for your audience to take with them, after a set is over?
To be laughing. If I'm not doing that, then there's something wrong going on! After that—I also want the audience to come out like they know me more, as well as understand my point of view. You know, where I'm coming from.
Where do you see your comedy career, in the next five years?
Touring nationally and internationally. I'm heading up to the Tahoe Improv this week to work on some new material. I love touring. I also want to be working on a sitcom, as well as doing movies; and slowly venturing into producing.
