MORRISON, Colo. – Wu-Tang Clan, Jedi Mind Tricks and Immortal Technique will be performing at Halloween on the Rocks. The concert will be taking place at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, on Oct. 31.
RZA, GZA, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Method Man, U-God, Masta Killa, Cappadonna and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard are the collective known as Wu-Tang Clan. They are a hip-hop group from the boroughs of the city of New York. Wu Music Group, LLC, Wu-Tang Productions, Inc., and Warner Bros. are the record labels they are part of. “Enter the 36 Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)” (1993), “Wu-Tang Forever” (1997), “The W” (2000), “Iron Flag” (2001), “8 Diagrams” (2007), “A Better Tomorrow” (2014) and “Once Upon A Time in Shaolin” (2015) are part of their discography. Starting May 10—their documentary, “Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics & Men”, will premiere on Showtime.
On May 4, Wu-Tang Clan had a district named after them in New York.
Jedi Mind Tricks are a hip-hop duo consisting of Vinnie Paz and Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind. They are from the city of Philadelphia and signed to the Enemy Soil record label. On June 22—their album, “The Bridge and The Abyss”, will be released.
In 1996, Jedi Mind Trick released their debut album called “The Psycho-Social, Chemical, Biological & Electro-Magnetic Manipulation of Human Consciousness”. It was also known as “The Psycho-Social”. Also in 1996, they released the extended play (EP) titled “Amber Probe”. It was followed by: “Violent by Design” (2000), “Visions of Gandhi” (2003), “Legacy of Blood” (2004), “Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell” (2006), “A History of Violence” (2008), “Violence Begets Violence” (2011) and “The Thief and the Fallen” (2015).
Immortal Technique is a hip-hop artist born in Peru and raised in Harlem, N.Y. He is part of the Viper Records roster and is also the Executive Vice President. His discography includes: “Revolutionary Vol. 1” (2001), “Revolutionary Vol 2.” (2003) and “The 3rd World” (2008).
While growing up in Harlem, Immortal Technique was surrounded by hip-hop. He wrote graffiti and he began to rhyme. He eventually became a battle rapper. He battled on stages, in clubs, on the streets and underground. He was part of the Rocksteady Anniversary, Braggin Rites, SLAM DVDs and hookt.com. After leaving the battle rap scene, he became a recording artist. His first album sold over 12,000 copies and his second record sold 29,000. Each project was sold independently.
