Hollywood Dead Film Festival to take place at Burbank Holiday Inn

BURBANK, Calif – Hollywood Dead Film Festival will be taking place inside of the media center located at the Holiday Inn, on June 17. It will be entering two years and is organized by head festival director, Joseph P. Kelly. Kelly is also the organizer of Upstate New York Horror Film Festival. Over 55 horror films from around the world will be screened and spanning over seven hours.
From 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Hollywood Dead Film Festival will be showcasing the films and will have an awards ceremony. Between the hours of 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., there will be a roof top cash bar. The very important person (VIP) suite will be open from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Awards and prizes for Hollywood Dead Film Festival include: Best Director (Short and Feature), Best Short Film, Best Special Effects (Short and Feature), Best Cinematography (Short and Feature), Best Sound Design (Short and Feature) ,Best Actor (Short and Feature), Best Actress (Short and Feature), Best Gore (Short and Feature), Audience Choice (Short and Feature) , Best Sci-Fi Feature Film (Short and Feature), Best Student Film, Best New York Horror Film (Short and Feature), Best Foreign Horror Film (Short and Feature), Best Trailer, Best Animation Horror Film, Best Horror Script, Best Sci-Fi Script and additional awards will be presented.
Films chosen to be screened at Hollywood Dead Film Festival had to follow these guidelines: the entries had to be provided on a digital file, they had to be in the following formats (.mov, MP4 and h.264) were accepted, they had to be in English or subtitled in English, the title and name of contact had to be on all things submitted (media, material and containers), copies had to be sent in and not the originals and the content had to be available to be screened at the festival. Films in the following categories were considered: horror, horror comedy, suspense, thriller, science fiction and anything related to horror and thriller.
Opening date for Hollywood Dead Film Festival was Feb. 13, super early bird deadline was Feb. 28, early bird deadline was March 15, regular deadline was April 30, late deadline was May 15, extended late deadline was June 1 and notification date was June 3. For all projects submitted after June 15, they will be put into consideration for 2018.
