Hollywood, Calif. – In This Moment are going on a summer expedition. It begins on June 19 at Soaring Eagle Casino, in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. It concludes on Aug. 5 at Centennial Mall & M Street, in Lincoln, Neb. From June through Aug., Vimic and Little Miss Nasty shares the same bill with them. Starset is part of the lineup on select dates with In This Moment. In This Moment will be the support on Avenged Sevenfold’s performance on June 19 and Papa Roach on June 23.
Maria Brink is the vocalist, Chris Howorth and Randy Weitzel are the guitarists, Travis Johnson is the bassist and Kent Diimel is the drummer of In This Moment. They are a rock, metal and alternative band from Hollywood, Calif. and part of the Atlantic Records roster.
“Black Widow” was In This Moment’s latest album and it debuted on the following charts: number eight on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 and number three on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums. Both achievements were the highest they had reached to date. It was produced by multiple time GRAMMY® nominee and longtime collaborator, Kevin Churko (Five Finger Death Punch, Ozzy Osbourne).
Rock radio hits from “Black Widow” included: “Sick Like Me”, “Big Bad Wolf”, “Sex Metal Barbie” and “The Fighter”. There was a total of 13 song also including: “Out Of Hell”, “Into Darkness”, “Natural Born Sinner”, “Bones”, “Bloody Creature Poster Girl”, “Sexual Hallucination” featuring Brent Smith of Shinedown, “Black Widow”, “Dirty Pretty” and “The Infection”. Brink co-directed some of the official companion videos and they are streaming on In This Moment’s YouTube channel here.
"We love Brent and Shinedown," Howorth spoke of the collaboration with Shinedown’s Smith. "We didn't think we'd have a shot at getting him, but he instantly said yes. The song is a little different for him, and he jumped at the chance to do it."
National outlets such as Loudwire have praised In This Moment’s live performance. They stated: “One of the most unique, diverse and theatrical live acts you could witness in heavy music today. Not only are they a powerhouse sonically but visually they are beyond captivating. With a bigger label backing them for ‘Black Widow’, the production, sound and overall professional level of their concert experience has been elevated.”
