Fla.—Pop artist, Jake Miller, will be touring three Fla. cities, from July 24 through July 26. The stops will be part of his tour, which will last slightly over one month. Alex Angelo will be the opening act and Jasmine V will be the direct support. The tour will begin on July 8 at Starland Ballroom in N.J. and conclude on Aug. 13 at House of Blues in Anaheim, Calif.
Miller began rapping at the age of 17 for fun and later took it seriously, when his YouTube videos gained interest from local news and radio stations. He credits Eminem, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Drake for inspiring him. As time continued on, he made his concert debut by being on the same bill with Snoop Dogg in 2011. Since then—he’s been on the same card as Mac Miller, Flo Rida, Sean Kingston, Asher Roth, Jason Derulo, Cody Simpson, Austin Mahone and Sammy Adams.
During Miller’s independent tenure, he released two EPs including “Spotlight” (2012) and “The Road Less Traveled” (2013). The second EP debuted at number one, on the iTunes Hip-Hop chart. His full length album, “Us Against Them” (2013), sold over 33,000 copies and reached number five on the Billboard Rap chart. He’s performed at Y-100’s Jingle Ball, Calle Ocho Festival in Miami in front of 200,000 and sold out 43-city House of Blues venues as well.
In Nov., Miller debuted his EP via Warner Bros. Records called “Lion Heart”. In one week, it sold 8,000 copies and reached to number two on the iTunes Pop Chart. The EP features the Cutfather produced single “First Flight Home”. The single went onto shift 100,000 units and the music video earned more than three million views on YouTube.
On March 31—Miller’s music video for his new single, “Dazed and Confused”, can be seen at teenvogue.com. It can be accessed by clicking here. It features Travie McCoy of Gym Class Heroes. There is also a special appearance by Austin Mahone and it was directed by director, Edgar Esteves.
