Mary J. Blige to bring hip-hop/soul to Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Mary J. Blige will grace the stage of Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, on Nov. 6. Her tour will begin on Oct. 24 at Soulfest 2015 at The Domain in Sydney, Australia and conclude on Nov. 15 at The Grand Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. On four of the tour dates, Tamar Braxton will be the direct support. Blige will be promoting her most recent album, “The London Sessions”.
“The London Sessions” was released via Capitol Records and Matriarch Records. The album has 12 tracks and they include: “Therapy”, “Doubt”, “Not Loving You”, “When You’re Gone”, “Right Now”, “My Loving”, “Long Hard Look”, “Whole Damn Year”, “Nobody But You”, “Pick Me Up”, “Follow” featuring Disclosure and “Worth My Time”. She collaborated with many writers, including Sam Smith.
Producers of “The London Sessions” include: Knox Brown, MJ Cole, Craze & Hoax, Disclosure, Stephen Fitzmaurice, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Marc Kinchen, Jimmy Napes, Naughty Boy, Sam Romans, Shakavell and Eg White.
Live performances of select songs from “The London Sessions” have been performed by Blige from the U.S. to the U.K. They range from festivals, talk and awards shows. A piece of “Therapy” can be heard on the television show, “Grey’s Anatomy”. Music videos for “Right Now” (From The London Sessions), official music video for “Right Now”, lyric video for “Whole Damn Year” and the trailer for “The London Sessions” is currently available for viewing.
When “The London Sessions” was released to the general public, it reached number nine on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. It was her 13th album to reach the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and the 10th album to reach number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts.
