BURBANK, Calif. – Mastodon are adding another leg to their North American tour. For the fall portion of their expedition, they will be hitting the road with Eagles of Death Metal and Russian Circles. The trek is set to begin on Sept. 26 at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Fla. It concludes on Oct. 25 at Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Brann Dailor (drums and vocals), Brent Hinds (guitar and vocals), Bill Kelliher (guitar) and Troy Sanders (bass and vocals) are members of Mastodon. They are a metal, rock and progressive band from Atlanta. They are on the Reprise Records and Relapse Records rosters.
“Emperor Of Sand” was the latest album by Mastodon. It featured 11 tracks: “Sultan’s Curse”, “Show Yourself”, “Precious Stones”, “Steambreather”, “Roots Remain”, “Word to the Wise”, “Ancient Kingdom, “Clandestiny”, “Andromeda”, “Scorpion Breath” and “Jaguar God”. It was recorded at The Quarry Recording Studio in Kennesaw, Ga. and produced by Brendan O’Brien. Los Angeles Times, Nerdist and Alternative Press were outlets which praised it.
Jesse “Boots Electric” Hughes (vocals and guitarist) and Joshua “Baby Duck” Homme (drums) are the core duo of Eagles of Death Metal. They are a rock group and are signed to Rekords Rekords.
“Zipper Down” was the most recent album by Eagles of Death Metal. It was released on Oct. 2, 2015. It included 11 songs: “Complexity”, “Silverlake (K.S.O.F.M.)”, “Got A Woman”, “I Love You All The Time”, “Oh Girl”, “Got The Power”, “Skin-Tight Boogie”, “Got A Woman (Slight Return)”, “The Deuce”, “Save a Prayer” and “The Reverend”.
Discography of Eagles of Death Metal also includes: “Heart On”, “Death By Sexy…” and “Peace Love Death Metal”.
Mike Sullivan is the guitarist, Dave Turncrantz is the drummer and Brian Cook is the bassist of Russian Circles. They are from Chicago and are part of the Sargent House label.
Since 2006, Russian Circles have released a total of seven recordings consisting of: “Enter”, “Station”, “Geneva”, “Empros”, “Memorial”, “Guidance” and “Live at Dunk! Fest”. “Live at Dunk! Fest” consisted of 10 musical numbers: “Deficit”, “309”, “Afrika”, “Harper Lewis”, “Geneva”, “1777”, “Vorel”, “Mládek” and “Youngblood”. It was distributed on April 14, 2017. The artwork was designed by Error Design, recorded by Jannes Van Rossom and Thierry Staelens, mixed by Dallas Thomas and mastered by Collin Jordan.
