JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Machine Gun Kelly will be making a splash at Aqua Nightclub & Lounge, on Aug. 29. It is part of his “Road Trippin’ Tour”, which began at a sold out House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, on July 1. This leg of the tour will conclude on Sept. 14 at Boulder Theatre in Boulder, Colo. The final leg of the tour will start in Canada on Sept. 21 at The Ranch in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. It will conclude on Oct. 21 at Madison Theater in Covington, Ky.
Kelly is currently on the second leg of his Road Trippin’ Tour. In 2015, he has released a slew of videos and a mixtape. The music videos include: “Almost”, “A Little More” featuring Victoria Monet, “Blue Skies”, “Till I Die Part II” (featuring Bone Thugs -N- Harmony, French Montana, Ray Cash and Yo Gotti), “Wanna Ball” and a freestyle over Fort Minor’s “Remember The Name”. He’s also released some of his adventures via Kelly Vision and the free downloadable mixtape, “F**k It”.
Kelly has resided in multiple places including: Houston, Denver, Egypt and Cleveland. While living in Denver, he and his father lived with his aunt. He remembered dawning two outfits and being bullied. During his upbringing, his defense mechanism was verbal and never physical. When he was seven years old—he discovered the hip-hop artist, DMX. Kelly would rhyme along to DMX’s music video for “We Right Here”. He battle rapped all comers, from middle school throughout high school. Most of which were much older.
While residing in Cleveland, a local business owner took him under his wing and managed him musically. He first performed in front of an audience at the age of 15 and his fans provided him his stage name, due to the speed of his lyrical delivery.
In 2011—Kelly signed a record deal with Sean “Diddy” Comb’s record label, Bad Boy Records, and Interscope Records. He has toured with the likes of Tech N9ne, during the record breaking “Hostile Takeover Tour”. He has also been part of the lineup of the annual Vans Warped Tour.
