Milwaukee Comedy Festival accepting submissions

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee Comedy Festival is set to take place from Aug. 2 through Aug. 6. Submissions are being accepted, the deadline is 11:59 Central Time on May 1 and those chosen will be notified on June 1. One-person shows, alternative comedy acts, stand-up, improv and sketch comedians are encouraged to apply.
Information to be considered to be selected for Milwaukee Comedy Festival are contact information, about the comedy to be presented, technical needs, review for submission and payment through PayPal. Application fee is $20 and late submission is $40. Fees are non-refundable.
Applicants of Milwaukee Comedy Festival will be seen by a panel of judges. Those involved with the selection process are the producers, the staff of the festival and comedy professionals. The criteria of each will be judged on quality, originality, professionalism, audience reaction and funniness.
Past stand-up comedians of Milwaukee Comedy Festival were: Matt Werner, David Louis, Chris Schmidt, Terence Hart, John Egan, Kelsie Huff, Mike Hover, Bobby Hill, David Rader, Amanda Cohen, Sameena Mustafa, Will Green, Andy Fleming, Jim Flannigan, Steven King, Arish Singh, Xavier Lamont, Andrea Guzzetta, Damon Millard, Jen Kirkman and Allison Dunne.
2016’s sketch comedians of Milwaukee Comedy Festival consisted of: Broadminded, Sketch Marks, Variety Hour Happy Hour, Rehner & Nixon and The Comic Thread.
Improv troupes of 2016 at Milwaukee Comedy Festival included: Improvised Mythology, Interstellar…And Beyond and The Journal.
Brian O’Sullivan and Brian Bayer were the musical comedians of the 2016’s Milwaukee Comedy Festival.

Individual tickets to attend Milwaukee Comedy Festival will go on sale, as the dates draw close. All access pass are available and are $50 each. The pricing excludes taxes and fees. Four passes are the max, for each transaction. Perks for each are the following: limited edition lanyard for all events, advanced seating, swag, access to the kick-off party event at Lakefront Brewery and entry to special events.
