Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville announces lineup for 2016

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville’s lineup for 2016 was released, on Dec. 7. 45 musical acts will grace the stages of the festival at Metropolitan Park. After taking a four-year hiatus, Disturbed will return. Pre-sale tickets are available.
The lineup for April 30 at Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville is: 3 Doors Down, Asking Alexandria, Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine, Candlebox, Cane Hill, Collective Soul, Disturbed, Enter Shikari, Escape The Fate, Filter, Hellyeah, Lacey Sturm, Miss May I, Monster Truck, Parkway Drive, Pennywise, Pop Evil, Red Sun Rising, Shinedown, Sixx:A.M. and Wilson.
May 1’s list of artists are: A Day To Remember, Anthrax, Avatar, Beartooth, Clutch, Crown The Empire, Cypress Hill, Five Finger Death Punch, From Ashes To New, Ghost, Issues, Lamb Of God, Megadeth, Memphis May Fire, P.O.D., Rob Zombie, Sevendust, Sick Puppies, Texas Hippie Coalition, The Glorious Sons, We Came As Romans, Wild Thrones, Yelawolf and ZZ Top.
“We are so ready for Welcome To Rockville!!! We are proud to be returning to Jacksonville, Florida for this incredible festival,” Shinedown’s Brent Smith stated.
“The band cannot wait to get back on the stage for our fans at the Welcome To Rockville festival. 2016 is going to be a huge year for Sixx:A.M. – a double album, tons of high-octane fueled performances. There is SO much to be excited for and we can’t wait to share the experience with all of you!”, Nikki Sixx of Sixx:A.M. declared.

“People thought I was crazy when I launched a festival in Jacksonville,” Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer presents cited. “This is my home town, so I ignored everyone, and we came out of the gate with a solid event. To go from 10,000 tickets the first year to 50,000 in 2015, and makng this Florida’s biggest rock experience, I couldn’t be more proud to be a native of North Florida and to showcase my home town nationally. Welcome To Rockville has become one of rock’s most recognizable festivals, and it’s only going to get better.”
Along with musicians, Monster Welcome To Rockville features the attractions: Tequila World, “Gourmet Man Food”, Jack Daniel’s Whiskey Row Experience, MAKE YOUR MARK Graffiti Zone, The Music Experience, Jacksonville Jaguars will host activities and other art installations will be announced.

General admission discount early bird tickets are available from Dec. 7 through Dec. 17. They are limited and once sold out, a second wave will be released on Dec. 17. The price will increase by $10. Very Important Person (VIP) tickets will be released, during the same time. Once the first wave sells out, the price will increase by $20. Weekend Zippo VIP Ticket 2-Packs will be available. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sareth Ney is the entertainment journalist for A Quarter and Dream Pictures. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Center for New Media from Colorado State University-Pueblo. He is a former apprentice to master of horror, Clive Barker. He is known as the journalist/superhero, Wu-Man Chu, after meeting some members of Wu-Tang Clan.
