JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville sold out Metropolitan Park, on April 30 and May 1. Over 50,000 fans were in attendance, for the two day event. In the six years of existence, it set the record for the biggest roc k experience in the history for the state of Fla. 45 bands took over four stages, during the festivities.
Formed in 2013, Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville doubled in size. Economically, it generated $15 million for the city of Jacksonville, Fla.
Producer of Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville, Danny Wimmer, stated: “From its humble beginnings in 2011 as a single day event that drew 7,500, five years later Rockville has grown into the biggest rock event in the state of Florida. Having over 50,000 attendees from around the world just proves how strong the community of rock fans is.”
Lineup for April 30 at Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville were: 3 Doors Down, Asking Alexandria, Bring Me The Horizon, Big Jesus, Bullet For My Valentine, Candlebox, Cane Hill, Collective Soul, Disturbed, Enter Shikari, Escape The Fate, Filter, Hellyeah, Lacey Sturm, Miss May I, Monster Truck, Parkway Drive, Pennywise, Pop Evil, Red Sun Rising, Shinedown, Sixx:A.M., Trivium and Wilson.
