NANTUCKET, Mass. – Nantucket Comedy Festival is celebrating 10 years and takes place from July 12 through July 15. It is an annual fundraiser for Stand Up & Learn. Stand Up & Learn is an island-based, year-round comedy education program for the children of Nantucket and is a non-profit organization.
On July 12, Stand Up & Learn Kids’ Comedy Performance will take place. The time is to be determined. Children will perform their original material they learned at the Stand Up & Learn workshop. The program’s goal is designed to build the following characteristics: confidence, courage and creativity.
Two events will take place at Nantucket Comedy Festival, on July 13. The first is Ladies Who Lunch & Laugh. It is for women only, provide them a place to socialize and a comedienne will headline. Ladies Night will feature four comedienne headliners at Dreamland. Kate Ghiloni, Kerri Louise, Felicia Michaels and Cory Kahaney have graced the stage, in the past. Men are welcome to attend. Times for each are to be announced.
Friday Night Lights is the first event announced at Nantucket Comedy Festival, for July 14. Details, guests, and time will be announced in the near future.
New York versus Boston Comedy SmACKdown will take place on July 15, at Nantucket Comedy Festival. ESPN’s Bob Ley will be the official for the event and the winners will take home a trophy. The time will be announced, as the dates approach.
