ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.—Noah Gundersen will be performing at the Colonial Quarters, on Oct. 14. He will be embarking on nationwide tour, as well as a few dates in Canada. He will be promoting his most recent album, “Carry The Ghost”.
“Carry The Ghost” was recorded at Litho Studio, in Seattle. It was produced by Gundersen and it was mixed by Phil Ek (Band of Horses, Father John Misty). The album has 13 tracks on it and it features his siblings, Abby and Jonathan. They are also in his touring band.
Over the past few years, Gundersen contended with matters involving identity and independence. At the same time—he grew and welcomed transformation, as an artist. Aiming to be bigger than his body and reaching extraordinary heights, he proved he can with the album “Carry The Ghost”. With the album—he hopes to amaze anticipations, he hopes to drive past his limits and try out something new.
Gundersen explained what he went through—during the recording of his recent album, “Carry The Ghost”. He stated he drew inspiration from within.
“This album grew out of desire to know myself, to know how I was supposed to live,” Gundersen cited. “And in that process, I realized that maybe there is no ‘supposed to be.’ The concept of ‘Carry The Ghost’ is that we’re made by our experiences and to accept that instead of fighting it. The last several years have been a process of accepting things as they are and to not see them as so black and white or right or wrong, to accept that we’re not made to be a certain way, but that we are involved in an ongoing process of becoming.”
Over the past few years, Gundersen released a couple of albums including: “Brand New World”, “Saints & Liars” (with his former band mates in The Courage), “Family”, “Ledges” (he produced it himself), “Twenty-Something” and “Carry The Ghost”. Some of his songs have been featured on several television shows including: The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” (“Family”), Fox’s “The Following” (“David”) and FX’s “Sons Of Anarchy” (“Day Is Gone”, “He Got Away”, “Middle Of June”).
