JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- Of A Revolution (O.A.R.) are set to take the stage at Florida Theatre, on Feb. 24. Their current run of tour dates began on Dec. 13 at M&T Bank Stadium and will conclude on March 1 at Lebrewski Cruise in Miami. The tour dates had and will have a handful of solo shows by Marc Roberge and a couple of weeks off between Jan. 03 and Jan. 29. They will be on tour promoting their eighth studio album, “The Rockville LP”. For the tour, they will have the fans make up their set lists.
Marc Roberge is the vocalist and guitarist, Richard On is the lead guitarist, Benj Gershman is the bassist, Chris Culos is the drummer and Jerry DePizzo is the saxophonist of O.A.R.
In 1996—O.A.R. was formed. Culos, On and Gershan formed the group, while they attended high school in Rockville, Md. DePizzo would soon join them, when they attended Ohio State University.
Before the recording process “The Rockville LP”, O.A.R. visited their old hometown of Rockville. While they were there, they were rejuvenated with creativity and inspiration. During the time, it provided them peace and it inspired the first single from the album called “Peace”.
For the album, “The Rockville LP”, the recording process took place in three different cities and in three different states including: Nashville, Tenn., Bethesda, Md. and Brooklyn, N.Y. Inspiration for the song, “Favorite Song” was inspired by driving around the streets of Nashville and Md. Roberge stated it includes dozens of song titles. It was drawn from the experience of singing along to the songs, as they tuned through the variety of radio stations.
“The Rockville LP” features 10 tracks including: “Two Hands Up”, “We’ll Pick Up Where We Left Off”, “Peace”, “The Element”, “Favorite Song”, “So Good So Far”, “The Architect”, “Place To Hide”, “Caroline the Wrecking Ball” and “I Will Find You”.
Due to the energy they have provided during their live performances, they sold out New York’s Madison Square Garden twice over. Roberge went onto say he hopes the same energy can be felt by listening to “The Rockville LP”, as each minute passes.
